Plans for the introduction of a new Republican tariff bill soon after the convening of the extra session of congress President-elect Harding Is expected to call tn March were announced today by Chairman Fordney of the house ways and means committee. Mr. Fordney said It was proposed ,tocojiUniieJieariiigs on tariff questions ques-tions with only brief Interruptions until all Interests had been given an opportuity to lay their views before the committee. Tomorrow the committee will begin be-gin formal consideration of schedule A of the I'nderwood tariff act, embracing em-bracing chemicals, oils and paints. |
