Commission 'Fixes' Ogdenite's Traffic Tag' City Council Here Extends 'Courtesy' to Official of Neighbor Town City Commissioner George O'Connor of Ogden found Tuesday it was not necessary to go to court here on a traffic charge. The Salt Lake City commission took care of him, thank you. Commissioner O'Connor, who was "tagged" by Patrolman T. R. Terry October 16 for alleged failure to observe ob-serve a stop sign at Beck street and Victory road, appeared befor the Salt Lake City commission. Hs presented the ticket, with an affidavit by Max Strauss. Both the affidavit and Commissioner O'Connor O'Con-nor Informed commissioners the Ogdenlts did stop for th sign. Mayor E. B. Erwin then moved to cancel the tag, which a majority of the commission did over the lone dissent of Commissioner George D. Keyser. Commissioner Keyser contended the matter should hsve been referred re-ferred to the public safety department, depart-ment, headed by Mayor Erwin. The commission also canceled M unpaid of a S200 fine imposed in January on Holger Peterson, 2356 Highland drive, on a drunkenness charge filed In police court |
