Show i r - - Unveiled. High above towering fir trees, the head of Abraham Abra-ham Lincoln, right, was carved on the sharp granite face of Mount Ruthmore, near Rapid City, S. D., by Gution Borg-lum, Borg-lum, famous sculptor. The figure Is shown above as It was unveiled, measuring (( feet from chin to crown, and alongside along-side the faces of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, which already are well formed. When completed it will show a bearded Lincoln. Within three years Borglum expects ex-pects to carve a head af Theodora Roosevelt between Jefferson Jef-ferson and Lincoln. AriTIOred Japanese tanks advanced over poor roads par-allellng par-allellng the Feiplng-Sulyan railway as the Nipponese forces slowly drove back defending Chinese during the advance through Nankow pass and on to Kalgan.
