Show L. D. S. COUNSELOR HOME FROM EUROPE Characteristically unwilling to talk about affairs in which he is not an expert, J. Reuben Clark Jr., first counselor in the first presidency presi-dency of tha L. D. S. church, Tuesday Tues-day arrived in Salt Lake City from a tour of Europe, silent on th state of governmental affairs there, "I had only a train window view of those countries," he said, "but from what I could see, th people appear to be happy and well clothed and fed." He waa accompanied her by He-ber He-ber J. Grant, president of the church, who had gone to New York City to meet Mr. and Mrs. Clark. Mr. Clark, who is president of the Foreign Bondholders' Protective Protec-tive Council, Inc., said he had gone to Europe to confer with representatives represen-tatives of other European bondholders. |
