Syria, Aug. 12 (At French troops and airplanes moved into northeastern Syria today to quell a revolt of wild Kurdish tribes and to and the back-country warfare war-fare between Mohammedana and Christians. . It waa attacked at-tacked August 10 by united force of Kurd and Moslem from the Interior, who pillaged 100 Christian-owned shops. Patience Ends (The Jerusalem report was that the French took military measures gainst Amouda because they were exasperated by lawlessness within the village.) The French authorities reported tha troop met "no serious resistance resist-ance today," adding that "tha Kurd elements and seditious Moslem" were quickly put down. Tha semiofficial version of the fighting in. northeastern Syria waa that violence began July when 100 natives occupied the government palace In upper Jezireh and took control of the towns of Hassetch and Kamechlie, demanding tha reinstatement re-instatement of local official ousted oust-ed by the government A policeman was killed and many persons were injured in fighting July 1.
