Show G707PrAD0PTS" NEW FUND PLAN CHICAGO, Aug. 12 UP Enlistment Enlist-ment of "regularly contributing" members to finance the Republican party during the next three years was projected today under a plan announced by Charles B. Good-speed, Good-speed, treasurer of the national committee. "Sustaining members" would contribute con-tribute to the support of the party "as they do to their religious, charitable char-itable and fraternal organisations," said a statement by Goods peed. Chairmen of the state finance oommittsea would be members of a national finance committee, providing pro-viding a liaison between leaders and lay members of the party. Goodspeed's statement said it Was believed the new plsn for financing could provide sufficient Income "to meet the operating expenses of the national and congressional committees, commit-tees, liquidate ths deficit of 1937, finance fi-nance the congressional campaign in ISM and, during 1939 and 1840, accumulate funds for the next presidential pres-idential campaign." |
