Mine In the semipro Utah Industrial Baseball league, th Gem- imell club or Bing-I Bing-I ham Invades Community Com-munity park Sunday Sun-day at 2 30 p. m. to meet Salt Lake City's Pinney club for the first time in the second half Magna, undefeated unde-feated second half leader after having hav-ing gained first half laurels at the 'expense of Pinney in a playoff series, plays at Midvale Sundav at a n. m Pete Huxford while Mines goea to Provo to meet the Tim pi at 4:30 p. m. The latter game was originally origi-nally slated at 2:30 p. m., but was set back by mutual agreement. Although beaten by Magna in the lone second half game it has played, the Pinney club is given a good chance to down the Clubmen Sunday Sun-day in the large Community park, where the long range hitting of such Gemmell stars as- Lea Sum-nlcht. Sum-nlcht. Doty Bush, Al Kaatellie and Prank Zaccaria is offset by the great distance to the fences and the fine fieldina of Darrell Bonnv. Earl Owen and Pete Huxford. Hits which might easily clear the shorter walls at Bingham are well within range of the fielders at Community, Com-munity, while the third baseman and shortstop are not troubled by the sun, as in the Copptrton park. Kenny Price. Pinneys lanky speedball hurler, is still on the sidelines side-lines recovering from pneumonia, so Bill McDuffie, the ace hurler for the Salt Lakers, will probably draw Sunday's assignment, with Sammy Oliver likely to toss for the Clubmen. |
