Show Prep Schools Honor Grid Teams, Coaches Claaawork went on aa usual at Davis. Judge Memorial, Box Elder and Payaon high schools Monday, but the claaawork waa of a different dif-ferent nature aa students, teachers teach-ers and visitors rehashed Saturday's Satur-day's championship games in addition ad-dition to showering congratula-tiona congratula-tiona and praiae for the achieve-menta achieve-menta of their respective teams. Victory assemblies and trophy awarding festivities were the order or-der of the day in the afternoon, however, aa all the schools concerned con-cerned went all out to honor their champs and runners-up. All waa bedlam at Da via, where the claaa A kings received a tremendous tre-mendous ovation. The celebration at the Dart school started with an assembly with team members being Introduced, speeches from various faculty and school board membera, timely remarks from the coaching staff and finally presentation presen-tation of the huge .trophy. Junior Hill and Carter Cowley presented the trophy to the school's student body president. Following the assembly a matinee mat-inee dance waa held In the school gymnasium. A large banquet circuit cir-cuit awaits the Dart gridders. Judge Memorial held Ita second victory assembly in two years sa the Bulldog school honored its two-time atate Champa with aa assembly Monday afternoon. Athletic Director Rev. Mark Benvegnu waa the main speaker praising everyone concerned for judge's phenomenal success. Dick Allam, Bulldog cocaptain, served aa master of ceremonies. Coach Tom Marea, the Racine Wonder, responded with a short speech, after which team membera were Introduced. Cocaptain Bob HiU presented the trophy to Dick Allam, who accepted on behalf of the school. Trophy awarding assemblies were also held at Box Elder and Payaon during the day. |
