Show Chief Revamps S. t. Police AnliviceSquad Assistant Had of Unit Transferred; 10 Others Also Affected Polio Chief L. C. Crowther Tueeday revamped the department's depart-ment's vice aquad, sending three member of the erganlaatioa headed head-ed by Capt Oolden Height to new assignments. Included In the shake-up waa the switch of Bgt. Ray 8. Cahoon, assistant chief of the vice squad, to the traffic division. The chief said Sgt. Cahoon "potentially" "po-tentially" would be in charge of the street traffic detail. Patrolman " Lloyd BhoemaJcer was transferred to radio patrol, and Patrolman Archie Bukosky to the Sugar House substation. A total of 11 members of the department were involved in the shake-up. Chief Crowther said no new assistant vice squad chief would be named. Sgt. Fred Lee, head of the radio patrol division. divi-sion. Also announced were the following follow-ing changes in department personnel: per-sonnel: Raymon Zasadil, from the records rec-ords bureau to traffic department; William Campbell, from traffic to the anUvice aquad; O. J. Price, from traffic to the an ti vice squad. Don Pearson, from Sugar House substation to traffic; T. A. Diamond Dia-mond from Sugar House substation substa-tion to radio patrol; John H. Peck Jr., from radio patrol to Sugar House substation, and Eugene S. Cedarlof, from radio patrol to traffic traf-fic division. Chief Crowther said the changes were a "routine shakeup to increase in-crease the effectiveness of the police po-lice department and place men concerned in positions for which they are better qualified.'' |
