It The remodeled $88,570,000 Nava-Jo-Hopi Indian aid bill waa tripped by a social security provision Wednesdsy on Its second bid for houee approval. Proponents of the measure sought to bring it up for passage under a unanimous consent agreement agree-ment but failed when Rep. Kean (R N. J.) objected. It was psased by ths senate Tuesday. Rep. Fernandez D N. M.) told reporters the legislation apparently apparent-ly la dead for this session of congress. I The new version was shorn of a section which caused President Truman to veto the original legislation. legis-lation. This section would have placed Navajos and Hopia under the civil Jurisdiction of ths states in which they live, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.
