Tho tornado, approaching from the southwest, crossed tho Arknnsas river several miles south of the settlement of Plney and proceded In a northeasterly northeast-erly direction. It swept through the towns of London, Wcllervllle, Jeshro, Louisville, Patterson and Hcrryvlllo and outlying portions of Mulberry, either completely wrecking or laying wnsto the larger part of theso places nnd destroying timber nnd crops throughout the Intermedlntu country. At Plney It Is said that twelve persons per-sons ncro killed and n number Injured. In-jured. Practically tho cntlro settlement settle-ment was demolished.
