Show SMALLPOX INCREASES Four More Cases of the Dread Disease Arc Reported. Re-ported. Four more cases of smallpox have been added to the constantly Increasing number. The' situation Is so alarming that It is believed that some preventive measure 'will soon be asked for by citizens as a whole. R. E. Jensen. 21 years old, 257 South Tenth East street, who is among the latest victims is said to be a student In the Latter-day Saints' university, which institution stood out so strenuously strenu-ously against compulsory -vaccination two years ago. This Is the first case that has developed in the institution this year. Mr. Jensen had not been vaccinated. ' The names of the other three who have succumbed to the disease are: Edwin Ed-win Green, 21 years old, 44 Rosell street; Mlna Trotter, 16 years old, 525 North Sixth West street, and Mrs. Mary Gawan, aged 27 years, 463 North Sixth West street. Of these three the two latter were unvaccinated, and the former was not mentioned as vaccinated vacci-nated or not ' The case of Ivy Harvey, 469 Eighth street, who has the scarlet fever, was reported at the Board of Health this morning. t |
