Show SAID TO HAVE USED KNIFE ON OFFICER Jacob W. Kass, a Finn smelter man living at Bingham, Is In the county Jail awaiting trial on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Kass was said to have been the aggressor In a vicious saloon fight at Bingham and after several sev-eral men had been wounded, ran away Just before the arrival of W. W. Plays, the policeman. Kass is alleged to have waited until Plays passed, and is then said to have pounced upon him, stabbing stab-bing him In the leg with a knife. Plays clubbed Kass over the head with a revolver until he submitted to arrest. The wound suffered by Plays Is four inches in length and the knife blade penetrated nearly to the bone. |
