Show Short Strike By Coke Pullers. N SUNNTSIDE. Sept. 6. About fifty of the Italian coke pullers came out on strike Thursday morning. They had no grievance. They were placed In line after af-ter some difficulty and marched to the office, where the leadera were picked out and told to leave town and the others returned re-turned to work aa usual. H. G. Williams arrived from Salt Lake and settled the trouble. The social given by the Toung Men's Republican club waa a perfect success, financial as well aa social, some fifty new members enrolling. Robert Balrd Is expected home the latter lat-ter part of this week from Scotland, where ha has been visiting relatives for th past three months. |
