COL S. 0. BROWN IS DEAD IN MEXICO CTrr OP MEXICO, Sept S.-CoL Sidney Sid-ney O. Brown, a civil engineer and mining min-ing man well known In Colorado. Utah and Nevada, died recently in Vera Cms as the result of exposure. Not long ago Brown secured a concession from the Mexican Government for oil exploration along the gulf coast snd made a trip in a small boat from Coatsacoalcos to Vera Crus. H encountered extremely severe weather, and died a few days after reaching the latter port. A widow and daughter reside in Oakland. Cal. Brown was sixty-five years of age. He conducted the negotiations between President Presi-dent Dlas, as executor of the Slrdan estate, es-tate, and Senator W. A. Clark of Montana, Mon-tana, through which the latter became the owner of the Montepto hacienda on the gulf coast of Mexico In the State of Vera Crus. , '
