Show IGNORANT OF SON'S FATE Mother of Frank Rose . May Be Killed by News of His Execution. x The mother of Frank B. Rose, living In Missouri, has not yet heard that her son has been sentenced to die on April 22nd for the murder of his girl wife on Christmas day. Judging from a letter received re-ceived here Saturday night by Attorneys Attor-neys Kinney and Christensen, who de- fended Rose. The letter Is written by Mrs. C. M. Mitchell, one of Rose's sisters, at St. Louis, Mo., and was dated March 8th. She asks in the letter that the date of his trial be fixed as far ahead as possible, possi-ble, in order that she may secure expert testimony to prove her brother's Insanity. Insan-ity. She also writes: "The news, I fear, will be a death blow to his invalid mother. "It must be a vesy strange State that can't protect an Insane person, which he certainly is. I know his disposition well enough to know he would be deeply affected if he was at himself." . Rose was much vexed Saturday when he was told that Judge Hall had not made the order giving his boy into the care of Miss Katherine Page, and said: "I don't see why the courts should in-terfere in-terfere with a man giving his child to any one he sees fit. Seems to me there has been enough legal delays in this family to suit most any one." |
