Bai-ley. Mrs. Ernest W. Sorenson, who before her recent marriage was Miss Mary Brown, displayed her lovely trousseau at a tea given Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Sorenson. Mrs. Carl A. Curtis, Mrs- D. O. Stoker and Mrs. Clarence Stringham were in charge of the trousseau room and serving. One hundred guests called. Mrs. George Nichols of Lehi spent New Year's holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Nichols. Seaman 1C George Nichols is now believed stationed in the Aleutian islands. Copperton LDS ward church held a special New Year's pro-gram Sunday evening. Each aux-iliary group in the ward con-tributed a special number- Copperton Catholic ladies will meet next Wednesday, January 10, at eight o'clock at the home of Mrs. A. V. Peterson. Copperton Study Guild will meet at eight o'clock Monday, January 8, at the home of Mrs-Mik- Brisk witli Mrs. 1 D. Lay-- j cock as cohostess. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Boberg, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Olson of Union, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson Tuesday. Dinner was served and cards played. Roy Duke of Burley, Ida., left Tuesday to return to his home after a three-da- y visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. Olsen. Mrs. George Cuthbert, who has been at Salinas, Calif., while her husband, Pvt. Cuthbert, was at Fort Ord, Calif., has returned to her parents' home at Kaysville, while her husband is overseas. Mrs. Cuthbert plans to accept employment at the Ogden rail-road offices. Mrs. Allan Rich ins of Salt Lake City spent Tuesday with Mrs. E. J- Cowdell. Saturday Mr. and Mrs Melvin Olsen attended a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wal-ter Williams. On January 1 a waffle break-fast was enjoyed at the home of Elaine Cheever. Attending were Ruth McKellar, Jaqueline Barlow, Beth Cowdell, Jeane Willis, Maxine Warner and Mar-jorie Pullan. at a New Year's Eve party were Faye Cowdell and Faye McKellar, at the E. home. Five hundred was played and gifts exchanged by members of the club. Guests were Janice Hofheins, Edith Hornickel of Salt Lake City, Joy Dean Davies of Murray, Miriam Mrs. Blaine Milner of Copper-- I ton, Mrs. Ivy Hull and children, Marion and Russell, and Mrs. Myron Fullmer made up a New Year's theatre party in Salt Lake City.
