Show LIONS SPONSOR HIGHLAND BOY SCOUT TROOP Members of the Bingham Can-yon Can-yon Lions club at their regular semi-monthly meeting held Tues i day evening voted to sponsor the Highland Boy Boy Scout troop in the Bingham district and Salt j Lake councils. Harold Chesler, district Boy Scout chairman, was present at the meeting and explained ex-plained that Highland Boy group ! lacked a sponsor. Mr. Chesler stated that the troop meets in I the Community House. Earl T I James was named by Lion Pre-i Pre-i sident F. A. Miller to represent I the club on the Bingham district dis-trict scout council Mr. James, representative from the Lions club on the general 'Teen Age committee, reported that the 'Teen Age club was officially of-ficially opened on December 22 and that it is receiving great support. Mr. James reported that up until Tuesday 83 yearly mem-1 berships at a cost of $1.00 each ! hud been taken by 'Teen-agers. The Rev. H. Gravenor of the Methodist community church gave a short talk to Lions on international in-ternational affairs. Following the Rev. Gravenor's talk, Lions par ticipated in a general discussion j of the speech. |
