A private letter received here today from New York bears the information that Giuseppe Creatore, the acrobatic band, leader, whose gymnasUo stunts created a mild sensation here and elsewhere else-where throughout the West while he was leader of Cilery's band, has again gone insane and has been confined in an asylum near Cincinnati, O., . by friends. Creatore broke down In New York a little more than a year ago and was for a time kept in a private sanitarium In that glty. He eventually recovered and organlzzed a band of his own, with which he made a very successful tour. His mind again gave way. The writer of the letter, who was an associate of Creatore" a in business, says that besides his highly nervous tension there Is a woman in the case who Is partly responsible for his trouble. She was in ,the same company with the excitable leader for two seasons, and though he had a wife and two children chil-dren in Italy, he forgot them and became be-came madly Infatuated with the singer who played with him for a time, and then discarded him. Creatore, so the writer says was surprised sur-prised by his wife one day in New York, who had come over from Italy unknown to him. Creatore refused to acknowledge his wife, who returned heart broken to Italy, at the expense of Creatore's manager. Creatores friends, according to the writer, believe that with seclusion and rest the leader will regain his reason within a few months. |
