' The morning call on the mining exchange ex-change redeemed the trading for the . week. In general the week has , been dull, but Saturday the trading was Yery active. The prices, however, showed the effect of the heavy trading and the trend of the market was decidedly de-cidedly lower than it has been for some time. Carlsa showed very little drop, but was ' rather weak between 1514 and 16 cents, with the trading light and closed at those figures. . Daly West was. If anything, a trifle stronger than on Friday, but the prices still hung between 811.25 and 3S-17H- Mammoth was traded In for the first time In some weeks, and sold at the extremely low price of 31-65 and closed with 31.67H asked and 81.62V4 bid Sliver Shield was .weaker, opening at 114 cents, but moving up to 12)4 cents and closing at 12 cents. Uncle Sam Consolidated was a trifle - stronger than on Friday, but still is selling at 22 cents. It fell off a trifle below this figure at the close., Beck-Tunnel followed the example set by the pther stocks and fell off slightly to cents, but the demand was not satisfied sat-isfied at that price. Little Chief showed great weakness around 2H to 2 cents, but was very active. Victor Consolidated was the strongest strong-est stock on the list and advanced a trifle to 4tt cents and was held at 4 cents at the close. Yankee Consolidated showed no change in price, but was fairly active at 35 cents. Eagle & Blue Bell fell of considerably and was dealt in at 90 cents, while Lower Low-er Mammoth was to be had at 14 cents, ' With little demand. - New York was strong and did more business than any other stock, advancing advanc-ing under the, heavy demand to 15 cents. The contract for all the steam pipe at the plant at the Cactus, both for the mine and mill, and for Its installation has been awarded to Charles C. Moor & Co, of San Francisco, through their local representative, James J. Burke. The speed of delivery was the point on which the letting of; the contract hinged and the Moore company was able to deliver de-liver the goods much sooner than their competitors. They are .required by the contract to Tut the pipe on the ground within thirty days. The contract calls for the payment of about 85000. COPPER BULLION OUTPUT. The base copper bullion output of the Independent smelters for the past week shows a marked Increase, especially in the output of the Bingham Consolidated Consoli-dated smelter. The week's output which amounts to 867,114 pounds, is the largest week's production for many months and is divided as follows: Utah Consolidated 808,819 Bingham Consolidated 3O6.015 United States .262.780 Total 867.U4 To this must be added approximately 200,000 Jounds from the American smelter smel-ter which brings the grand total up to 1,067,114 pounds. Argument in the case of the Eureka Hill Mining company against the Bullion-Beck and Champion Mining companies com-panies was heard by Judge Marioneauz in the 8upreme courtroom Saturday. PINE MANGANESE ORE. . ' The Siege! Consolidated of SlegeL Nev., has a shipment of ore on the market mar-ket Saturday which shows most remarkable remark-able contents. The ore runs 45 per cent manganese, 150 ounces of silver and 12 In gold. 'This Is a fair sample of the kind of ore which the Slegei company has been shipping to the local smelters all this year. The manganese is a most valuable val-uable product and is in constant, demand for the purpose of making manganese steel and bronxe, which Is Impervious to the action of sea water. The property of the Siegel -company extends over a large area, and the company com-pany Is now taking ore from two shafts and a tunnel, and Is opening new ore j bodies with great regularity.
