Show PRESIDENT TALKS AT PRAYER MEETING WASHINGTON, Dec 16 President Roosevelt attended the prayer meeting at Grace Reformed church, of which he is a member, last night, and at the conclusion conclu-sion of the service made a short address to the large congregation and held an Informal In-formal reception. The President attended the services unattended, un-attended, save by his negro valet, and took his seat in pew 2. At the conclusion of the prayer service the pastor introduced intro-duced the President, who, in the course of his remarks, said: "I think that any man who takes an interest in this great country of ours must realize the one all-Important necessity neces-sity of our social, industriai and political life Is the necessity of tho realization of what brotherhood means. We cannot develop de-velop our civilization at all unless we develop de-velop It upon the basis of each recognising recognis-ing in his fellow man his brother,- whose interest ho must have at heart." |
