Show IPROTHERO'S FATHERHERE Will Take No Part in Contest Con-test for Reward for ; Shockley's .Arrest. . F. M.Pfbthero, father of Percy L. Protherio, the young man detained as a witness In the Shockley case, Is. in the city and has visited his son in the county Jail. He is here from Baraboo, Wis., and is orf his way to Idaho to locate lo-cate on a tract of land near the Twin Falls canal, which he bought several years ago. He found his son looking well, much better in fact, than he was when he left Chicago last year. Young Prothero had Just recovered from a serious attack of pneumonia and came West for his health.- y i Mr. Prothero said that he "purposed td do nothing with regard to securing the $2000 reward money which the son signed over to the-widows of Shockley's victims. That, he said, was his son's affair af-fair and he could manage it to suit him-sejf. him-sejf. . He feels, however, that young Prothero Pro-thero is entitled to the money as he did nothing but his duty in giving up the j murderer. - , . |
