Show BULLDOG MAY BE POLICE COURT WITNESS A novel witness may be put on the stand in the Police court. This Is a thoroughbred bulldog. Saturday, Satur-day, William Warren and E. Vail, who purchased the dog a few days ago for $13 from George Newland, went for a walk and took the dog for a run. As It past the residence of Dr. A. S. Bower, 344 East First South street, the dog disappeared In the yard. The young men went to the rear door of the Bower residence where the dog was tied on the porch. Patrolman 8perry was sent for, as well as Dr. Nunn. The dog was Identified by the latter as one whose ears he had clipped on October 29th. George Newland was called. He said he had sold the dog to Warren and Vail, lie claimed to have raised the dog, and that its ears were clipped by Orlando Pratt last January. The dog may be called into court to show whom he prefers as a master. This may have some weight In deciding the case. |
