Show IS NOW OUT OFMNGER Mrs. Mayberry Alleged to Have Made Attempt on (Her Life. Mrs. A. P. Mayberry of 148 South Eleventh East street Is lying In a serious seri-ous condition at St. Mark's hospital, as the result of what is said to have been an attempt at suicide. It Is said that Mrs. Mayberry severed an artery In her left wrist with a knife, after which she drank an ounce of laudanum. Medical aid was summoned at once and Mrs. Mayberry was removed re-moved to St. Mark's hospital, where the poison' was pumped from her system and the gash in her wrist was closed with stitches. Various reasons are assigned as the causes which led up to the hasty act. Mrs. Mayberry is considered to be out of danger. The attendants at the hospital hos-pital and the physician who is attending attend-ing her refuse to give any information concerning the affair. |
