Show " " "t T JT Present Season Will De One of Host Disastrous in History of the West. The outlook for the sheepmen In Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada, begins be-gins to take on a gloomy aspect. Then losses from the recent disastrous storm will be much greater than was at first supposed. The total losses cannot be even estimated. The sheep that weathered weath-ered the storm with scanty provender for days are now dying by thousands on the deserts, in the valleys and in the mountains. 1 The unusually (fry summer which made feed scarce," left the sheep in no condition tx) put In a hard winter. Feed on the range ' was scarce and what little grass there was for winter grazing was very short. As the ,snow became deeper, food had to be hauled to the starring flocks.
