Show I Paul Haedick Dead. NEW YORK, Feb. 9. Dr. Paul Haedick. Hae-dick. well known as a journalist both in Germany and America, died here Sunday Sun-day of cirrhosis of the liver. He was born at Brandenburg fifty-one years ago. Before completing bis education he entered the Prussian army in 1871 and served throughout the war with France. After he finished his university univer-sity course and entered the service of j the Wolff bureau, the leading news agency of Germany. Later he came to the United States and entered Journalism, Journal-ism, being connected at various times ! with the German papers In the West, among them the Illinois Staats Zeltung, of Chicago. After the lapse of twelve years he returned to Germany and was for some time the editor of the Nord Deitsch Allgemeine Zeltung; leaving that paper to resume his connection with the Wolff bureau, and came to New York four years ago as its resident resi-dent correspondent. |
