Show DREAMS. IN HATS ARE SHOWN AT OPENING The spring opening of the Paris Millinery Mil-linery company is being held today and will continue through the evening. The management is receiving the friends of the establishment in royal style and Is making a : visit to the store well worth one's Ume. ; The millinery display is gorgeous this year, and the dainty creations of the milliners '0 the French capital captivate capti-vate the eye on every side. This department depart-ment Is under the management of Miss A. Rumel.,who has Just returned from a two months trip to New York, where she has been searching for the choicest Imported goods. ' The hats on display at the opening are bewlldesing in their number, and so ' beautiful that It - would be difficult to make a decision and say which is the handsomest. . .One, a flat. hat with pointed front, is made of Jet and lace applique with barrel bar-rel aigrettes and folded marine top. Another, a. dream In turquoise blue, is an. English turban, with a brim of shaded leaves and a crown of shaded roses, with a renaissance lace scarf, which' is fastened at the back with a cluster of grapes. This hat is finished with straight aigrettes. ' One - of the stunning hats Is a large black lace picture hat, with Marie Antoinette An-toinette effect, malllne crown and brim of black lace. The bands are of rose petals and the velvet ribbon at the back . is . fastened with a Jet band. French . plumes at the side and front complete the Marie Antoinette effect by giving height to the creation. Virot of Paris has contributed a gem to the collection. It has a violet brim and a flat crown, with a .facing of white lace applique. Aigrettes plume from the center crown and are fastened with violet vio-let lings.- The back M finished with a rich renaissance scarf and cut steel ornaments. or-naments. A flowef hat, large and shading from champagne to a rich seal brown, is a. .fetching novelty. The entire hat is of roses, shading into the daintiest and v.rlchest browns. . A scarf of linen and gilt. Is draped over ombre shades and finished with- clusters of omre ribbons. rib-bons. The newly remodeled cloak and suit room now occupies a half of the store. This room presents a handsome appearance, appear-ance, with Its long rows of oak wall cases, filled with the latest and choicest styles of suits and ladles' clothing. Low cases extend through .this department, loaded with the most beautiful effects-In effects-In silks and novelties. The other half of the store is reserved for the display of neckwear, boas, lace collars, gloves, hosiery, fine lingerie and other wares that delight a woman's heart to even look upon. The windows, which were decorated by Mr. Mulln, late from Altman's of New York, present a beautiful appearance, appear-ance, and are exhibitions of skilful and artistic arrangement. The decorations throughout the store were also planned and executed by him. The opening is the most successful and the most largely attended of any that the firm has ever given. |
