GETS WATER RIGHTS While it Is true. that. the Utah Copper Cop-per company has secured a. five-year lease on a tract of ground from the West Mountain Placer company of Bingham, it' Is. not true that the 600-ton 600-ton concentrator with which the Utah company Is to equip' 'its Wall-De La Mar property will be erected on this piece of ground. Col. Wall'stated positively posi-tively this morning that the right to the Placer company's ground was secured for the water supply' it furnishes, and that it has not been decided upon as the mill site. In fact the site for the concentrator con-centrator . has not yet been, determined upon, but wherever It is located, a pump will be Installed on the placer property to furnish the plant with the necessary water for concentrating purposes. .To this end the Utah Copper company has purchased the pumps and other similar equipment from the Placer company, the consideration being close to 86000. A copper strike is reported to have been made In the Manhattan out of Ploche, Nev., which surpasses in richness rich-ness anything in the camp. . Superintendent Superin-tendent Freudenthal, who brought the news of the strike here this morning received assays on his samples, which show . over 60 per cent copper. The strike was nade in a new tunnel and the indications for a .-big body of ore could not be better.' . |
