He sold them to local meat dealers. Beeently Lamy followed a big bear into a cave in the mountains and before he could shoot it attacked him. After a -desperate battle he killed the animal with a knife, but not before he was badlv torn in the affray. When the female bear saw him she tried to protect ber cub and had advanced ad-vanced to. within a few feet of where he stood when a fortunate shot broke her fore leg. Lamy says there are many bears in the mountains this season. |
