Show HIGHWAYMEN HOLD UP AUTQ AT BARRICADE BUTLER, PaT, June a. An automobile party consisting of George J. Bankart and wife of Pittsburg, and Harry F. Smith and wife, of Cleveland. O.. was held up and robbed by three masked men on the outskirts of this place. As they were starting down a long hill coming Into town their searchlight revealed re-vealed a barricade of fence rails across the road, forcing them to stop. They had no sooner done so than three men Jumped into the automobile and went through their clothes , at the points of revolvers, securing $200 in money, two gold watches and one diamond ring. They were then, ordered to proceed at top speed and the robbers made off. |
