Show NEVADA HILLS LOOMS UP AS BONANZA DISCOVERY The events of the next few weeks may prove that the Nevada Hills mine, . at Fairrlew, Is the greatest bonanza discovery discov-ery of Nevada this year, although it must be conceded - that Manhattan and Round Mountain prospects which were announced Just about the time that Fair-view Fair-view astonished the mining world are in the running for this honor. Black Horse Is also an applicant for a place at the bead of the list of big ones; but came fn late, and therefore may not reach the three-quarter stretch In time to have a place. "Hot Air" Days Passed. Promoters who have brought the Nevada Neva-da Hills to the front were for many weeks accused by the Investing public with "hot-airing." but now all accusations accusa-tions of this sort are forgotten In the glare of the big returns on the ore shipments ship-ments which are telling Impressive tales, and but for the fact that the world has grown familiar with reports of big gold strikes In Nevada during the last two years, the doings of the Nevada Hills mine would be treating a monster sensation. sen-sation. Yields $200 Ton. The first shipment of ore, which landed in Salt Lake about three weeks ago, it appears from reports which are authoritative, authori-tative, yielded as good as $200 per ton. The second consignment. It Is learned from. the same source, wss settled for on the basis of $228 per too. Two other consignments are now said to have left the mine, and both of these. It Is believed by the management, will bring larger amounts of money per ton than either of the others. Hlgh-Orade Ore Coming. Behind theee three shipments there is to be soon forwarded a ablpment of high-grade high-grade ore that is expected to run at the rate of $1000 per ton. This selected consignment con-signment will be sent out after proof has been secured of what the average ore from the vein Is; and this having been practically already accomplished. It I would not be surprising If a stir were created In the price of the stock when the high-grade capacity of the property shall have been demonstrated In the way Indicated as likely. Active Development. The crosscut tunnel, designed to tap the ledge, at depth. Is being extended vigorously, and the air shaft connection opened with the surface so that more rapid progress will be made In the future. Some sensational disclosures are anticipated antici-pated when the miners reach the point of Intersection of the vein through this bore. The possibilities of enormous wealth at depth, which the vein near the surface suggests, have sustained the management In a condition of continuous continu-ous enthusiastlo belief that the bonansa has not yet been opened In anything like its real glory. Picture Ore Pound. Basis for this theory was secured as a result of the assaying of a picked sample of the ore secured In the surface workings, work-ings, and which Kbnwed a total value of 10.020 ounces silver and 58 ounces of gold. From another sample of the picture pic-ture ore weighing 250 grammes there were secured 114 grammes of gold.. |
