A. to Confer With Other Societies on Merging of Displays. ..' - The Merchants and Manufacturers' association as-sociation held a very spirited meeting last Saturday night. A committee was appointed to consider the merging of the exhibits of the association with that of the Real Estate and Deseret Agriculture societies In some favorable building, In Salt Lake. This committee representing the M. and M. A is President Hewlett, Assistant" Secretary Onrin Morris, J. R, Broil, L. R. Martineau, and J. R. Valentlnev-They will confertwith similar committees for the other societies.- All the clubs are in favor fa-vor of the movement. v- The members-present also passed resolutions reso-lutions expressing themselves regarding the proposed meeting of the Legislature In special session for the consideration of the merging of the two leading educational educa-tional schools. These were as follows: - "Whereas, The Merchants and Manufacturers' Manu-facturers' association of Utah record themselves as deploring any action which will disturS the pleasant business relations rela-tions that now exist beten Cache valley val-ley and Salt Lake City, be It "Resolved, That the Merchants and Manufacturers' association of Utah Is opposed to this movement, and furthermore, further-more, we regard the proposal ' for -tbe Governor to call an extra session of the Legislature as entirely uncalled for, and that in order that this Information be properly disseminated, copies of . these resolutions be sent to the Cache Commercial Commer-cial club and the newspapers." |
