Show POSTAL COMPANY TO BUILD NEW LINES C. C Adams, third vice-president of the Postal Telegraph company, who was in Salt Lake yesterday, says he is absolutely astounded at the growth of the West, within the last three years. Every month the increase in our busi- 1 ness in Salt Lake is a surprlee. The Postal will build several trunk lines during the coming year one from Denver to 8an Francisco, probably. - A large number of short lines are to be constructed in Utah also. We may possibly increase . our office facilities here. "This will "be done to meet the increase in-crease of business. So far as we can see the wireless telegraph haa not affected af-fected our business, and we do not expect ex-pect it to do so. The best the wireless can do is to send a message 600 miles without relaying, while we go 2500 di- I rect. |
