Show BATHE FLAG TO BE USED IN DRAMA An old battle flag that was carried by the Federal forces In the assault on Lookout mountain, will be used In the presentation of "Reveille and Taps" at the Salt Lake theater, April 10 and 11. This flag was planted on the top of the historic mountain by John Morgan, who was wounded three times in the ascent. Three color bearers had been killed while going up the bullet-swept slope, and Morgan seized the flag from the last one, as he fell riddled with Confederate bullets. The flag will be carried by Nick Morgan, Mor-gan, son of the heroic John Morgan, in whose possession it now is. "Reveille and Taps" was written by Briant S. Young of this city, and will be given under the auspices of the Grand Army of the Republic. |
