Mrs. Nelson, assisted by her daughter MaReen, directed en-tertainment and served refresh-ments to Linda Long, Kenneth Green, Susan Carter, Susan Mit-chell, Ronnie Boren, Lynn John-son, Darleen and CharLeen Hutching!, Fred D- Martin, Rich-ard Booth and Barbara Kay Nel-son. Meyer and children of 219 Main street left Thursday to make their home in Butte, Mont. Nu-- I club met Tuesday even-ing at the home of Mrs. Bessie Dahlstrom in Copperton. Prizes at cards went to Mabel Neprud and Dora McDonald. Pie and coffee was enjoyed by 12. The Pinochle club met Tues-day evening at the home of Kay Braun. Mrs. Gordon Jensen was an invited guest. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dispenza and daughter Paulette returned Mon-day from a two weeks' vacation at Pueblo and Augliar, Colo. They also visited in Manitou and the Royal Gorge. Miss Marion Redd and Sgt. Elliott Redd of Salt Lake City Timothy Shea, Daniel Shea, Beverly Beck and Mrs. E. A. Beck motored to Ogden and vis-ited Sammy Beck. Mr. and Mrs- Walter Jensen and family enjoyed Sunday din-ner at the home of Mrs. Jensen's sister, Mrs. Clark of Salt Lake City. Mr- and Mrs. Oeorge A. Beck of Draper visited the E. A. Becks in Highland Boy Sunday even-- j ing. They enjoyed sight-seein- g through all points of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Strelich were visitors of Mrs. Tony Az-jzeli- o Wednesday evening. Tom is a former Highland Boy resi-dent and was recently discharg-ed from service. His wife is the former Virginia Baros of Cop-perfiel- They plan to make their home in California. Mrs- George Badovinatz re-turned home from Seattle, Wash., Friday morning. She enjoyed three weeks with her husband, Pvt. George Badovinatz, now stationed in Washington. Mrs. Katie Petkovich returned to her mothers, Mrs. Matt Pa-zell'- s, after an operation at St. Mark's hospital Tuesday morn-ing. Her husband plans to leave fur Arizona in the near future. i Mary Pasquali Ii Bride of the Week In a quiet, simple afternoon ceremony at Holy Rosary church Tuesday, Miss Mary Pasquali, daughter of Tony Pasquali, and Marko Yengich, son of Mrs. Rose Yengich, were united in mar-riage. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Daniel E. Leahy. The bride wore a beautiful white taffeta dress with a sweet-heart neckline and lovely net skirt, gathered at the waistline and falling in folds of net com-pleted the picture. Her veil fell from a beaded crown held by small pearls. The bridal bouquet c insisted of roses, carnations and gardenias. Matron of honor was Mrs Pete Pasquali of Bingham and best man was Chester Pas-quali of Salt Lake the ceremony a de-lightful dinner was held in honor of the newly-wed- s at the home of Mrs. Rose Yengich. Dinner was served for approximately one hundred guests. Many love-ly gifts were received. ' W dnesday the couple left for California to spend a y honeymoon. Mrs. Mike Churieh and Mrs. Nick A. Yengich enjoyed a movie and light luncheon Wednesday evening. Ann and Mary Casich enjoyed a card party at the home of Mrs. Thomas Cameron and Mrs- Nick A. Yengich. Later a delicious luncheon was served. A surprise party was held in honor of Helen Camara at the home of Blanche Silva of Bing-- ! ham. A chicken dinner was ser-ved and snapdragons decorated the room. Centering the table was a large birthday cake. Place cards were set for Mrs. Pete Za-b- o la, Mrs. K. Alexander, Mrs. Vivian Carter, Ann Casich, Hel-en Goris, Rose Camara, and Mrs Lorraine Hartman. Lovely gifts were received by the honoree. Seaman 1C William Pugnire of Midvale is home on a fifteen day leave, visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scorzato and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J. Roth of Colfax, Calif., are receiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter September 18. Mrs Roth is the former Rose Yengich of Highland Boy. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Muhar and sons visited Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bilbao and Mildred Muhar Wed-nesday evening. Sgt. and Mrs. Gordon Jackson of San Francisco arrived Tues-day evening for a short stay at the Clarence Bullock home. Mrs Jackson is the former Arilla Bul-lock. Cpl. Eugene Tazzer arrived at Camp Claibourne, La., where he is awaiting further orders. RM 3C Nick A. Yengich is now stationed at Middleton Is-land, Seward Alaska. Mike Ausick, S. 1 c, wrote his sisters that his plans for the fu-ture will be to spend a few years in China. Mr. and Mrs- Joe Zupan and Teresa Louise of Millford, spent Saturday with relatives in Bing-ham and West Jordan. Cpl. Thomas Cameron, now stationed at Camp Cooke, Calif., is expecting a y furlough soon. Mrs. Mike Church of Lower Bingham visited Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lucas and family. Frances De Michele of Tooele spent Thursday and Friday with Mary and Ann Casich. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Nichols recently returned from a two- - day fishing trip up the Provo. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Fletcher left Saturday to make their home in Draper. Mrs. James Sullenger and chil-dren of Bingham moved Tuesday to the home formerly occupied by A. E. Fletcher. Pauline Barkle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Barkle, left Monday to begin her sophomore year at Westminster college. "Blackie" Davis of Bushnell spent Sunday and Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen. Two truckloads of army per-sonnel and patients from Bush-nell hospital at Brigham City at-tended the Galena Day celebra-tion September 14- The enter-tainment was under direction of Sgt. Walter Richardson, Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen, and Joseph P. Scussel. They were members of the Photo club and took many interesting pictures of the parade and football game. They were entertained in the following pri-vate homes for dinner: J. Dewey Knudsen, Joe Brisk, Wayne Han-sen, Joe Wing. John Dahlstrom, Joe Harker, J. L. McKellar, K L. Isbell, Harvey Golf, O. D. Mary Casich Manda Chanak left for her residence in California Sunday evening. She spent her two-wee- k vacation visiting her par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Chanak. Mrs. Lena Bartell visited Mrs. Annie Swenson Friday and Sat-urday and the two visited with Mrs. E. A. Beck. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Savich and daughter Millie, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Alzo Morrell, spent three days visiting at the home of Mrs. Milka Smilanich and the Mary Loverich home. Mr. Morrell is a veteran of the merchant ma-rine, who was recently discharg-ed on the point system. The two families reside in Tooele. Wednesday evening Mrs. An-nie Swenson and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stott enjoyed coffee and cake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. A- Beck. The evening was spent playing cards. Joe Churieh is now home per-- 1 manently after his discharge from the Marine corps on the point system. The past week he has been visiting at the home of his sister, Mrs. George Sluga of Bingham. He arrived Saturday. His plans for the future are in-definite. |
