Show MINISTERS SHUT OUT v Federation of Labor Re-; fuses to Scat Any Alliance Alli-ance Delegates. The Ministers' alliance was denied the admission of fraternal delegates to the X'tah' Federation of Labor at a meeting of the federation held last evening at the Federation of Labor halls. By a vote of 24 to SO it was decided de-cided that the ministers should . not have representation In the labor body. This means that the labor body will, not accept the invitation of the.alliance to send three fraternal delegates to its meetings. , . A meeting is growing among the labor la-bor organizations that will undoubtedly undoubted-ly result in the throwing open of the doors of federation meetings to the public pub-lic The gallery, they declared, should be thrown open to all who are Interested Inter-ested enough In the labor movement to attend. The committee . on organization to which the communication of the ministers min-isters waa referred, declared against the ministers in their report. The question was then debated by the delegates. dele-gates. One member took the opportunity oppor-tunity to compare the ministers with a Justice of the Peace. He contended that both positions were fee offices and therefore, more or less, favored the employer em-ployer who contributed to their support. sup-port. Other views were taken by, the members. Several declared that only by the aid of the ministry could the labor movement expect to succeed. The close vote showed that sentiment was nearly evenly divided. |
