Show ' Progress of Recount - In the recount yesterday Rolapp made a number of gains during the forenoon, but In the afternoon more were in favor of Howell. The attorneys for Howell admit a loss of thirty-five votes for their client In- the forty-two districts which have been recounted. Judge Morse yesterday decided to recount the challenged ballots in all the districts which had fceen objected object-ed to on the ground that the envelopes in which the ballots had been kept had been torn open. The original votes In the forty-two districts were For Howell. 3962; for Rolapp. 36S. a majority of 286 for Howell. The recount in the same districts dis-tricts showed Howell 3666. Rolapp 3435, a loss of 35 In Howell's majority. |
