Show MINING NOTES. David Keith reports that although he examined many mining properties In Mexico, he did not Invest In any on his recent trip. The Silver Shield company has levied an assessment of IVi cents per share. It becomes delinquent March 7. Lafayette Hanchett and W. C. Thomas Thom-as of the Newhouse staff have gone to Denver on business connected with the Majestic company. Charles Merrill, Sheriff of Piute county coun-ty and a mining operator In the Gold mountain district, is In the city. Peter Porter has gone to Nevada on mining business. i G. D. B. Turner of the West Quincy has gone to Milwaukee to get more money for his property. F. H. Buhl, heavily interested in Utah mines, is in the city for a few days on his way East from the coast. The Tetro Is reported to be looking very well lately and a number of ore shipments are being made. J. J. Trenam has returned from a visit vis-it to the mines near Fay, Nev. The Mammoth of Tlntie has two shipments on the market, one a very high grade lot of copper ore. Fred Flindt and his prospecting party par-ty have gone into the Funeral range out from Llda, where they have heard of a bonanza. The Charm of the Drum district is on the market with a lot of ore running J7 in gold, 1.2 ounces silver and 7.35 per cent copper per ton. The Taylor-Brunton sampler reports the arrival of six cars of ore from Nevada Ne-vada and five from Tintlc. John Dern, president of the Consolidated Consoli-dated Mercu.-, is expected back from Mercur Tuesday night. |
