Show WORK OF THE LEGISLATURE ! Two corporation bills were Introduced by Senator Lewis Monday. The measures meas-ures are related and are similar to bills introduced at the last session. Senate "bill No. Zi requires corporations corpora-tions to file with the Secretary of State each January a sworn statement giving the name of the corporation, the names of the officers, amount of capitalisation and resources and liabilities. .Upon request re-quest 'of the Secertery of State the Attorney-General shall bring action to annul an-nul the charter of a corporation failing .to comply with the statute. Senate bill No. 35 is a companion bill to No. 34, and amends section 965 of the Revised Statutes by providing a fee of 10 cents per thousand Of capital stock for. filing the statements of corporations, corpora-tions, no fee to be less than $5. Senate bill No. S3, by Rasband, amending section 2421 of the Revised Statutes and chapter 69 of the Session Laws of 1899, makes the inspection of all books of persons charged with the receipts, saf keeping or disbursements of public moneys obligatory on the State Auditor. Under the preset law the inspection is discretionary. House bill No. 44, relating to forgery and counterfeiting, came up for third reading and was recommended, with House bill No. 45, relating to undertakings underta-kings on appeal from Justice courts, to enable the Rules committee of both houses to adjust a conflict, caused by an amendment to the title made by the Senate committee which ran contrary to House rules. Senate concurrent resolution No. 3 and House Joint resolution No. 1, to exempt ex-empt mortgages from taxation, were cent to the Ways and Means committee. commit-tee.
