He Is charged with having charged Sarah Sa-rah B. Lay ton $166 for having procured a pension for her amounting to about $300. Mrs. - Layton Is the widow of the-late Christopher Layton, who had been in the military service - of the United Statea in the war with Mexico, being a prlt-ate in company C. Iowa battalion.
