Show PALLS DEAD IN CHAIR AFTER ASKING TO WARM HlflSELP BEFORE STOVE Sitting beside a stove in the American Ameri-can hotel in Commercial street this morning, John Moore, colored suddenly fell over and died before medical aid could reach him. Moore, who Is a porter, had been 111 for some time, it is said. This morning he entered the hotel and asked If he could sit by the stove and get warm. He had been there hut a short time when he died. He was being treated by County Physician Phy-sician E. W. Whitney and is thought to have been suffering from tuberculosis. He was to have been taken to the county coun-ty Infirmary within a few days, as he had become almost helpless. The body was taken to Evans' undertaking under-taking rooms. It Is not believed that an inquest will be necessary. Moore was formerly employed as a porter In a Third South street barber shop. |
