Show WHITE ON HAND FOR CONFERENCE American Embassador to Take Part in Moroccan Moroc-can ConftL BULLETIN. LONDON, Jan. 15. The Associated Press is advised that Embassador White, representing the United States at the Moroccan conference at Alge-ziras, Alge-ziras, will support the German contention conten-tion both' as .to the "open door' In Morocco and as to - an international commission to control the policing of the country. It is suggested that this may make the adoption of the German Ger-man view probable, particularly In the light of the fact that Russia has shown marked indifference to the appeal ap-peal of France for support. The influence in-fluence of the Vatican is also understood under-stood to be hostile to France. GIBRALTAR. Jan. IB. The American Ameri-can Embassador to Italy, Henry White, chief of the American mission to the Moroccan conference, arrived here today to-day from Naples on the North German Lloyd steamer. Princess Irene. The steamer's band -playedthe American and British anthems as the Princess Irene entered the harbor. A steam launch of the United States cruiser Galveston ran alongside the liner and took the Embassador on board the Brooklyn, flagship of Rear-Admiral SIg3bee, where the Admiral assembled his officers and received Mr. White with all honors while the warships fired an Embassador's salute. |
