"Moyes'of Og- ' den was thrown from a-Murray' car at 11:30 o'clock last night, at Ninth South and State streets, and suffered injuries that will probably prove fatal. He suffered suf-fered . a; fracture of the base, of the skull, extending to the left ear, Ills face was badly, cut and bruised, and his body was also severely bruised. He also suffered Internal injuries, vHe was taken to Holy Cross hospital in a semU conscious condition. Mr. Moyes was on his way to the home of his son-in-law J Mr. Samuel Doxey, ' Eleventh South and State streets, and at Ninth South street, thinking that he had reached his destination, desti-nation, he left hie seat and went to the back platform. As be stepped on the platform the car struck the switch and he was thrown against the vestibule. H grabbed for the railing, but missed It and was violently thrown backward, to the ground. He rolled to the middle of the road, and the car was immediately stopped. He was picked up by the passengers and carried into the car. The passengers pas-sengers were transferred to the next car and the victim of the accident was rushed to the city. After an examination examina-tion by Dr. C. JJ, Benedict he . was taken to Holy Cross hospital. Mr. Moyes has served two terms in the Ogdeh City Council and was appointed ap-pointed by Gov.- Cutler to "be State' Game and Fish Commissioner, but the j State Senate refused to confirm him., |
