Show Go to Church. ; ; V The ministers ; of the various ' evangelicai churches ' of this city have planned to' hold a series ef special religious services next week. These services ser-vices "begin with a meeting for men only at tlie First Methodistchurch tomorrow afternoon at half past 3 o'clock, Dr. IX J. Talbot delivering the address. Such a movement as is contemplated, ;wisely dij rected, cannqt fail to be helpful here. There is;! something more to life than mere businessor worldly world-ly success, t IJost men are' apt to Wome wholly absorbed ab-sorbed in the material. There -are some tendencies i at work among us which are fatal to the finer things of life. Any movement which is calculated to call the attention of men to the spiritual side of life is to be commended. The world is' more than mere' 'head, and it will be some time yet before it buries itself in that which is gross and coarse. The grip which the philosophy of Plato got -upon the world's thought is proof of this. Selfishness is altogether too rampant among ns. Evil is too prevalent to be denied. I . . i Surely amid the babel about us there is a message mes-sage calling men to reflection and to prayer" No matter what your religious -views, .give attention to this call. Go to church and ive the preachers a chance. If you , will be attentive ' to- the -message there may come into your life a great vision |
