Manager Harry He'agren of the Salt Lake and Og Jen bicycle tracks, has about completed arrangements with J. A.' Payment of Denver, whereby the three tracks will be" practically 'on a circuit. According; to the plans now being be-ing ' made the . star performers on the Salt Lake and Ogden tracks will be sent to Denver and the best of the Denver Den-ver cracks will be sent here at Intervals Inter-vals during the season, thus giving new faces and added Interest to the sport. In a letter received by Heagren this morning Mr. Payment asks if he will release Samuelson to the Denver track for May 30, as a matched race is to be arranged between Samuelson and Hamilton. Both men have great un-paced un-paced records, Hamilton holding the unpaced record that was later broken by Samuelson. It Is probable that Samuelson will be sent there for that date, and that later a return race will be pulled off here,; and the third one In Ogden. The Denver track now being built is nearly a circle, and Mr. Payment says that It will be one of the fastest in the country. Heagren and, Payment are now trying try-ing to make arrangements for signing up some of the Eastern, crack riders, and with the three tracks It is believed that the best men in the East will be attracted to the lntermountaln country for the season. If this Is done, the West will see some of the best races ver pulled off. |
