I i I I I Bank Executive IS S SUccumbs At 66 in in Ogden OGDEN Special S e ev eve v e erin r i n Thatcher Jeppesen 66 for 12 42 years a banker and in later years vice president of First Security Bank of Utah died in a local hospital Thursday at 8 15 a am a.m. m Mr Jeppesen was born Nov 12 1881 1584 in Logan a son of Severin J and Emma Thatcher He attended elementary schools and Utah State Agricultural college col col- col- col lege His business life began with That Thatcher her Brothers Milling Co in Logan and he later was employed by the Railway Express Co at Dillon DiJIon Mont He returned to Logan in the employ employ em em- ploy of Thatcher Brothers Brother's Banking Co and in 1909 he came to Ogden as an official of Ogden Savings bank which later through a number number num num- ber bel of mergers merger's became First Security Security Se Se- Bank of Utah of which he was vice ice president at the time of his dea death tho I I Was as Cham Chamber her Director He was active in civic affairs having having- been a member and a director di- di rector of Ogden Chamber c of f Commerce Com Com- I merce and in 1950 was chairman of its housing committee He had been a member of its water jle- jle and conservancy com com- During World War Var II H he was a member of the civilian defense organization organization organization or or- and for many years was wasa a a. member of the board of trustees of the state training school at American Fork Active e Church Worker He was a former member of Ogden Lions club Ogden Golf and Country club Benevolent and Protective Protective Pro Pro- Order of Elks and Weber club He Ile was an active member of Ogden ward waid Church Chuich of Jesus Christ Chiist of Latter-day Latter Saints He married Frances Fiances M M. Bishop in Logan Aug 9 1908 She died in tn Ogden June 13 1950 He is survived by a son John JohnP P P.
