Table de-corations followed a Christmas STUDY GUILD MEETS Copperton Study Guild met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. H. L. Garrity with Mrs. H. C. Jenkins as cohostess. The Christmas program was given by Mrs. Ruth Vine Tyler of Murray, who read a series of three Christ-mas stories. The first was a typi-cal German Christmas story en-titled "Seeking the Way", the second was typical of Ireland "The Wee Red Cap", and the last was an American story "Star in the Well." The musical portion of the program was given by Mrs. Richard Willey. A vocal solo "Oh Holy Night" by Mrs. J (.' Landenberger Jr. conclud-ed the program. This meeting terminated the first half of the Study Guild club year. The next meting will be in January. The Towns club met Wednes-day at the home of Mrs. Nancy Williamson. Those present were Mrs. Howard Harker, Mrs. Eve-lyn Priano, Mrs. Agnes Kesler, Mrs. Helen Summers and Mrs. Pat Sturgill. Sewing was enjoy-ed by the members and delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. Thursday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fitzgerald were Mrs. Norma Shaw and children, Ronald and Shirley, of Holladay. Copperton ward MIA Christ-mas carnival will be held Tues-day, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. al the wardhouse. Everyone is invited. The purpose of the Girl Scout meeting was to plan the scout Christmas party. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterson visited Sunday in Magna with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith and family. GIRL SCOUTS ORGANIZE Girl Scouts are being organized in Copperfield for girls between the ages of 7 to 12. The dues this year will he 50 cents, but will be raised to $1.00 at the beginning of the year. The meetings are held every Monday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The scheduled leaders will be Mrs Burl Barton, Mrs. Harvey Halverson and Miss He en Golesh.
