Show Christmas Opening Set For Tomorrow Evening Bingham Canyon will officially open the Xnias season tomorrow night at G:00 p.m. when Santa Claus will sleigh in from the North pole to march with the kiddies in the Jaycee Santa Clans parade. The parade will start at Bingham Central Cen-tral school and will end at the City hall. Children of all the. surrounding districts are urged to dress in costume and compete com-pete for the prizes to he given away for the outstanding Xmas costumes. Following the parade popcorn balls will be given to all children in the community from in front of the Junior Chamber hall. In ten of the popcorn balls will be found one dollar bills as special prizes for the kiddies. The Bingham Business Men's club has bought fifty Christmas trees and is decorating the streets of Bingham by placing them in all the flag holes in front of business busi-ness houses. The Business Men's Xmas tree committee is working under the chairmanship of Leonard Leon-ard L. Miller and Mr. Miller states, stat-es, "that the business district will be known as Christmas Tret Lane for the balance of the ( 'hristmas mm" On Sunday, December 14th a direct line to the North pole hat been obtained and Santa Claut will talk to ail kiddies from 12 to 3 o'clock. All children child-ren have to do it pick up the telephone and aik for Santa Claui. 1 Christmas lights in the business busi-ness section have been connected and will be turned on just before the parade begins. The power is being furnished by Utah Power & Light company. Our thanks go to the power company and to Harry Smith, Lawrence West and Dave Ireland for the extra work in making these lights possible. Arrangements are being made for a gala Christmas Eve party for children to be held at Bingham Bing-ham Central school. Santa Claus will be there in person and a fine program has been arranged. Parents who have sick children child-ren on Christmas Eve are urged urg-ed to call the Jaycee committee commit-tee so that Santa Claus can make a personal visit to the home of the sick children. Merchants will remain open Saturday evening. December 13 until 7:30 p.m. LETTERS TO SANTA All children are urged to write j a letter to Santa Claus now. Each letter will be answered by Santa ' and a prize will be given to the child writing the best letter. STORE HOURS The following nights have been chosen for staying open after regular hours: Monday. December 22 until 8 p.m.; i Tuesday. December 23 until 8 p.m., and Wednesday. Christmas Christ-mas Eve. regular closing time. O |
