Show Kennecott Copper Field Day To Be Held Tuesday, August 12 e e Tuesday, August 12, will mark the resumption of Field Day for employees of Utah Copper Division of Kennecott Copper Corporation and their families. The event which was held annually except during; the war years, will be held at Lagoon resort. Co-chairmen of the Field Day Committee are R. L. Erick-sen, Erick-sen, representing the mills, and G. W. Knudsen, representing the mine, who announced that they expect some 12,000 employees em-ployees and members of their families will be at Lagoon on i that dav. As in the past, the day is planned plan-ned as one of enjoyment, with many interesting athletic and novelty events for both children and adults. Employees' children will be admitted free all day on the merry-go-round, the streamliner, stream-liner, baby jeeps, fun house, whip and baby planes. Adults will also be admitted free to the fun house and the whip. All employees' em-ployees' children wifi receive strip tickets entitling them to one candy bar, one ice cream, and one drink of either pop or fruit juice free. The co-chairmen also announced that windshield stickers, stick-ers, which will admit autos free, will be distributed to employees later this week. Work hours for Kennecott Copper Corp. employees next Tuesday. August 12. Field day, will be 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The chairmen of the sub-committees in charge of the various events and activities are: J. S. Powell (mills) course and equipment; equip-ment; D. S. Buckle Buck-le (mine) sports; Merrill Miner, announcements; At wood Moffat (mills) and Carl Wilson (mine) finance; Harold Richardson, first aid; O. J. McDonald (mills) swimming; Russell Anderson (mine) transportation; Miles Gay-thwaite Gay-thwaite (mine) little train; James Carrigan (mine) fun house; Joe Dispenza (mine) merry-go-round; Dan Church (mine) baby airplane air-plane and whip.
