Show COUNCIL VOTES TO CONTINUE j 15-MILL LEVY A 15-mill tax levy was ap-proved ap-proved at the Wednesday evening even-ing meeting of the city council, continuing the same tax rate as I last year. Broken down tax re-! re-! turns will be apportioned in this manner: five mills to public safe-I safe-I ty; three mills to bonds and in-; in-; terest; one mill to contingent ex-1 ex-1 penses; three mills to streets and t sidewalks; two mills to public affairs and finance; one mill to I erection and maintenance of city halls and memorials. Miscellaneous bills and pavroll totaling $1512.00 were approved for payment. Carl Hill was appointed ap-pointed city engineer at a salarv of $25.00 a month.
